BP, ABF and DuPont unveil plans for grassroots biofuels plant
Article Abstract:
BP plc, Associated British Foods (ABF) plc, and DuPont have united to invest $400 in the construction of a world-scale bioethanol plant in Saltend, United Kingdom. The plant will be completed by late 2009 with an anticipated production capacity of 420 million liters/year from wheat feedstock. Also discussed is the development of biobutanol fuels by BP and DuPont.
