Create business value through process modeling
Article Abstract:
Process modeling can be used for various production processes such as manufacturing and supply chain management. Models can either be logical or physical, and these can help improve productivity. Value proposition, implementation approches and failure modes to implementation of process modeling and its applications in the pharmaceutical industry are discussed.

Use model-predictive control to improve distillation operations
Article Abstract:
The use of model-predictive control (MPC) in large-scale fractionation plants is discussed. MPC has been used commercially for more than 25 years, and its implementation required the creation of a dynamic model. Methods of improving MPC projects using chemical engineering models are also explained.
