Criterion for choosing ordering policies between fixed-size and fixed-interval, pull-type and push-type
Article Abstract:
Previous research has come up with various types of inventory control policies. However, the failure of past studies to integrate data on different inventory control policies have made it difficult to compare these policies in terms of performance. To resolve this problem, theoretical criteria for choosing between fixed-size ordering and fixed-interval ordering policies as well as between pull-type ordering and push-type ordering policies are developed.

Performance of a multistage hybrid push/pull production control system
Article Abstract:
The development of integrated manufacturing systems which can correspond flexibly to market demands while maintaining high productivity has become more urgent as the global market becomes more competitive. However, such processes can only be developed if manufacturing logistics is recognized as part of the multistage manufacturing process. A multistage hybrid push/pull production control system is developed.
