Five companies win 1992 Baldrige award
Article Abstract:
The 1992 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award was presented to five companies. AT and T Universal Card Services and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co won in the service category while AT and T Network Systems Group-Transmission Systems Business Unit and Texas Instruments Inc Defense Systems and Electronics Group received the large-manufacturers category award. Granite Rock Co is the only winner in the small-businesses category. The US Department of Commerce's National Institute for Standards and Technology handles the award presentation.

Becoming a Baldrige examiner
Article Abstract:
There are a number of benefits associated with being an examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Examiners have the privilege of working with experts in many different fields and of playing a role in boosting the economic expansion of the US through encouraging performance excellence.
