Dow Corning Corp has participated in the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9000 series of quality standards since 1987. This initiative is prompted by its resolve to promote better quality and secure greater market share. The manufacturing orientation of the company is also very appropriate for the ISO 9000 series in terms of benefits to the customers as well as to the business. Dow Corning's registration and certification of its quality systems ensures its survival in the international market.
