Gaging or not: gaging is one way of finding product and process problems
Article Abstract:
Gaging spending estimates for 1991, which are pegged at $132.8 million, show a 50% decline as compared to the $263. 0 million posted in 1989. Observers believe that the drop may be due to the ongoing recession and the consolidation of the US manufacturing sector. Despite this, manufacturers remain confident that the gaging market will rebound as soon as the recession ends. Another sign that may indicate a turnaround is the introduction of new gaging systems in the market.
