Gearbox re-design results in fewer parts and improved torque
Article Abstract:
Brevini, an Italian power transmission specialist firm with a UK office in Warrington has redesigned its range of high torque planetary gearboxes, resulting in a more reliable product that has fewer parts and improved torque ratings across the range. The new gearbox is available in eight sizes with up to four reduction stages, offering customers maximum nominal torque outputs from 34,000Nm up to 370,000Nm.

Gearboxes run cooler and quieter
Article Abstract:
A range of gearboxes, designed for use in demanding applications like mining, quarrying and cranes, offers improved cooling, quieter operation and a rugged, reliable design. These gearboxes incorporate an improved cooling fan design and rigid housing, optimized high root strength gear teeth and heavy duty output bearings to reduce noise levels and provide increased reliability.
