Handheld device offers measurements on the move
Article Abstract:
The NI CF-6004 handheld measurement tool developed by test and measurement hardware and software specialist National Instruments has the processing and wireless communication capabilities of the personal digital assistant (PDA) devices. It would enable the scientists and engineers to turn standard PDAs into customized, portable measurement tools with a new data acquisition device.

Ring motor with 4mm diameter, electrostatically levitated and capacitance-driven is developed as a gyroscope to sensor the control system in car. This new device is small in size and avoids all friction with bearings.
