Hopper offers hang-up-free flow for challenging materials
Article Abstract:
Diamondback Technology claims that its patented oscillating Diamondback Hopper reduces a material's arching tendency by a factor of two when compared to a regular Diamondback and by a factor of four over a typical conical hopper. In addition, unlike conventional hoppers that require large discharge openings and steep walls to achieve flow, this hopper solves arching and ratholing problems using flatter angles and smaller discharge openings than those of conical hoppers.

Separator significantly boosts capacity
Article Abstract:
Kason claims that the Three-Stage Kascade Internal Recycle model of the VIBROSCREEN separator offers 120%-160% higher scalping or dedusting capacity than covnetional screeners of equivalent diameter. It contains three screens of equal mesh. The bottom screening deck is configured with a conventional discharge sprout at its periphery, and the two upper screening decks are configured with 360 degrees annular gaps at their periphery.

Filter bags maximize durability and airflow
Article Abstract:
WL Gore and Associates' GORE-TEX high-durability filter bags are made of a recently-patented, new generation of membranes and polyester backing materials engineered for dimensional stability and flex-endurance. The filter bags, which are available in either 16 oz/yd2 or 12 oz/yd2 polyester needle felts, offer significant strength, permeability and other performance imporvements over the company's polyester products.
