The art of creating a standard
Article Abstract:
Those responsible for updating the ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 9004:2000 quality management system standards had a number of aims. These included providing structures for management, with emphasis on customer orientation, and giving compatibility with existing standards to allow users to build on existing quality management systems. The changes to the standards reflect an increasing understanding of the requirements of customers in all key product and service sectors.
