Instrument is suitable as alarm for secondary containment
Article Abstract:
Flowline promotes its LO10 optic leak detector as cost-effective alternative to conductive wire-type alarms used for secondary containment in sumps, tanks and pipes. The instrument has a relay or FET output that provides a reliable switch interface with remote devices, such as PLCs, SCADAs, or alarms. Meanwhile, the level switch is offered in a general purpose and intrisically safe versions with two probe lengths and PP or PFA Teflon materials for corrosive environments.

Impeller increases mass transfer rates
Article Abstract:
Chemineer's Bakker BT-6 gas dispersion impeller was designed using advanced flow measurement techniques. It utilizes a concave, vertically asymmetrical blade design that not only forces gas to the walls, but distributes the gas throughout the entire liquid volume, bottom to top, boosting mass transfer and uniformity. The impeller is available in a 6- blade configuration with a choice of welded, or bolted-adjustable blades.
