Internal auditors: make them work for you
Article Abstract:
Companies should maximize the use of their internal auditors in helping improve one's business. They should stop thinking that the auditors are only there as police officers to ensure compliance to ISO 9000. Internal auditors have no limitations on their duties, unlike third-party auditors who are only there to verify compliance to ISO 9000. Involving employees in the task of an auditor can help improve the company quality-wise as the employees could see the overall picture. The employees should have the necessary skills to do the job as an auditor.
