PC-based systems grab vital quality data
Article Abstract:
Different manufacturing firms, from hydraulic valve makers to furniture producers, are utilizing personal computers as aids in process control, quality control, and further research. The use of plug-in cards and software enables the firms to transform their microcomputers into efficient and cost-effective data acquisition devices. PC-based systems have the edge over x-y plotters in their ability to perform multiple tests at the same time, resulting in significant time savings.
