P&G CEO Pepper shows his support for TQO as researchers report their progress

John Pepper, the CEO and chairman of Proctor & Gamble, endorsed the research work and of Transformations to Quality Organizations (TQO) at the 1996 Natl Science Foundation Design & Manufacturing Conference. TQO is providing financial support to research on the application of quality improvement principles across organizations. Pepper stressed the need for quality improvement in research and teaching and collaborative efforts for enhancing quality research. Robert Cole, a professor at School of Business, University of California-Berkley, emphasized research methodology to achieve quality objectives at another TQO session.

The Feigenbaums are total quality control specialists who have helped organizations with quality improvement for 28 years. According to the Feigenbaums, an integrated management system helps to reach out to customers, maintain an effective manpower, operate cost leadership, and develop a parallel organizational set-up to connect the outcomes. The leadership needs to select priorities and decide if tasks are worth doing for effective results.
