Put more punch into catalytic reactors
Article Abstract:
A catalyst is a substance, which alters the reaction of any process, primarily used to speed up reactions. Use of catalysts reduces the size of equipments, energy levels and safe capital costs, and also improves product quality. With advanced technology, designing of the catalytic reactor has become easier and better, thereby optimizing their efficiency and throughput. The most commonly used method is the equation-based modeling. Various models and their qualities have been discussed.
