Rendering software is faster on the curves
Article Abstract:
An assistant professor at the University of Buffalo has developed software which improves and speeds up the display of moving CAD data. The technique involves improving the way that Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline representations (NURBS) are handled. Models are usually made up of small triangles which are re-displayed each time the model moves on the screen and the new software streamlines the process by using fewer triangles. Users can also zoom in on specific parts of the model.

The mother of invention software
Article Abstract:
Software called IM-Phenomenon has been developed by Invention Machine which will help process and systems designers to overcome over 1,000 complex engineering problems. The software provides 3,400 3D animation sequences and 1,000 scientific effects which allows engineers to examine the effect that different situations will have on a process. Most areas of engineering would find the package a valuable tool because it eliminates the need for concept models to be made.

Software has the brains to succeed
Article Abstract:
Invention Machine's CoBrain software suite is designed to scale down the technical information sourcing process, presenting relevant results in an easy-to-handle form. It functions by analyzing text-based documents and identifying specific words as part of a string in a sentence which supplies a problem/action/solution format. It is based on proprietary semantic processing technology.
