The development of various programming languages proved instrumental in providing an efficient and more facilitated platform for conducting test programs. Aside from the conventional BASIC programming language, programmers may now be able to employ C and C++ systems. The latter are two of the most preferred languages currently, due to their inherent simplicity and object-oriented features. The C++ language is further capable of carrying out a multitude of analysis applications.

The Best Manufacturing Practices (BMP) program is a technology transfer software that was designed by the Office of Naval Research for the dissemination of data on management and manufacturing processes. The transfer technology program provides a general overview of the management practices and manufacturing techniques of 85 companies to Internet researchers. Furthermore, the program also includes data on benchmarking, quality assurance and statistical process control.

Quality software solves problems

A wide variety of software products designed for addressing quality issues is currently available on the market today. Quality Technology Co. has introduced a new self-assessment software program called QSAS-9000 for ISO 9001,9002 and 9003 standards. Axonet Inc. has developed a new application software which transforms standalone Windows applications into workflow-enabled applications. A brief overview of several other new software products is presented.
