IBM Canada holds on to its beliefs - and its future

IBM Canada has seen a strong recovery from the difficulties it was experiencing in the early 1990s. It has placed strong emphasis on customer service, realizing that customer satisfaction is vital in an extremely competitive business environment. It regards quality as being a process of continuous improvement, and is still seeking to create a totally process-driven business. Pres and CEO John Wetmore is also chairman of the IBM Canada Customer Action Council.

Mason E. Wescott: 1902-1998
Article Abstract:
Founding member of the American Society for Quality Mason E. Westcott passed away on Jan 26, 1998 at the age of 95. Wescott is known for his dedication and love for teaching mathematics and statistics. He served as editor of the Society's 'Industrial Quality Control' journal for 14 years and was a member of the organization's board for over 10 years. He is also the recipient of the Eugene L. Grant Award and Shewhart Medal.
