Small wonders
Article Abstract:
The recipients of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and the George M. Low Trophy in the small-business category are Globe Metallurgical Inc, Marlow Industries, Marotta Scientific Controls Inc and Wallace Company Inc. These small business establishments disclosed that they are less likely to encounter difficulty in quality program implementations than large companies despite limited financial resources. These firms consider total quality management, process control and improvements as necessities rather than objectives.
