Supreme Court rules on obviousness
Article Abstract:
The United States Supreme Court's decision on the KSR International Co. versus Teleflex Inc. case - wherein an invention as being "obvious" and therefore, not patentable, was defined - has its applications to chemical engineers. Obviousness as applied to patent claims and the patent laws as applied to the chemical engineering industry, are discussed.
