The ten 1995 awardees of the IEEE Medals are profiled. They are Robert W. Lucky of Bellcore, Narain G. Hingorani of Hingorani Power Electronics, Malcolm R. Currie of Hughes Aircraft Co., Thomas Kailath of Stanford University and Irwin Mark Jacobs of Qualcomm Inc. The other IEEE Medal recipients are Joseph T. Threston of Martin Marietta Government Electronic Systems, Masasuke Morita of NEC Corp., Jacob Ziv of Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Jean Van Bladel of the University of Ghent, Donald E. Knuth of Stanford University and Lars Ramqvist of LM Ericsson.

IEEE honors 20 specialists with field awards
Article Abstract:
The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers announces the winners of its annual Field Awards. The awards are given for excellence in technology and applied science. For 1989, there are 18 recipients who will receive certificates, an honoraria of up to $2000, and in some cases, a bronze medallion.

The IEEE 1984 major medalists are announced. Several of the awards given include the IEEE Medal of Honor to Norman F. Ramsey, the Alexander Graham Bell Medal to Andrew James Viterbi, and the Edison Medal to Eugene I. Gordon. Photographs and short biographies of each of the recipients are given.
