Turbulent times require creative thinking: new European concepts in production management
Article Abstract:
An intelligent growth based on creativity and self-initiative is the key to the survival of European enterprises. A company must fulfill five paradigms to achieve intelligent growth, but these must correspond to each other and followed together to attain the desired intelligent growth. These are concentration on needs of customers, a double strategy of growth and consolidation, creation of a high-performance organization, rapid prototyping in strategy development, and knowledge management. Likewise, there are five options for companies to achieve intelligent growth. These are retention of 'old'customers and enticement of new ones, diversification, product and technology innovation, new services, and global presence.
