Manipulation of precipitation in small headwater catchments at Storgama, Norway: Effects on leaching organic carbon and nitrogen species
Article Abstract:
The effect of the addition of extra precipitation in summer and autumn on concentrations and fluxes of Total organic carbon (TOC) and total organic nitrogen (TON) in runoff is studied. The shorts droughts have a small effect on the overall fluxes of TOC and TON in runoff from small catchments at Storgama, throughout growing season.

A carbon budget of a small humic lake: An example of the importance of lakes for organic matter cycling in Boreal catchments
Article Abstract:
The role of the Swedish lake for the overall cycling of organic matter in its catchment and to quantify the major organic matter pools in the lake is discussed. It is seen that the lake is a net heterotophic ecosystem that is subsidized by organic carbon inputs from the catchment and from emergent macrophyte production.
