Carbon-nitrogen interactions in terrestrial ecosystems in response to rising atmospheric carbon dioxide
Article Abstract:
The theory and empirical evidence behind the interactions between carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) and effects on photosynthesis, primary production, and interactions with other resources and environmental factors are presented. Focus is laid on C-N interactions in a set of long-term studies of eC[O.sub.2] in near-natural conditions, emphasizing specially those that manipulate both CO2 and N.

The impact of economic activity in Asturias on greenhouse gas emissions: consequences for environmental policy within the Kyoto Protocol framework
Article Abstract:
The inclusion of an international agreement in the Kyoto Protocol framework, regarding the emission of carbon dioxide due to evidence of climate change in Asturias in Spain, is discussed. The wide spread industrial activities in Asturias is responsible for climatic changes in the area.
