Community modification by a grass invader has differing impacts for marine habits
Article Abstract:
A multi-site comparative approach is used to examine the impacts of a single invader, the marine grass Spartina anglica on estuarine habitats with different native species assemblages and physical conditions. It was found that range, abundance and effects on sediment and native plant species vary depending on the habitat invaded.

Topological properties of food webs: from real data to community assembly models
Article Abstract:
The similarities and differences in food web patterns between real and simulated webs are investigated. The best agreement between empirical and simulated webs occurs for low values of interaction strength between the species.

The community of an individual: implications for the community concept
Article Abstract:
The characteristics of the minimum domain and larger scales of the community concept are examined. Contact dependency and the potential for indeterminacy for most interactions are described.
