Dietary conservatism may facilitate the initial evolution of aposematism
Article Abstract:
A novel color morph appearing in a avian prey population can remain and increase as predators supply selective pressure, even to the point of excluding the original palatable morph. These findings are applied to the evolution of aposematism, receiver psychology, and polymorphism in Mullerian mimics.

Limiting similarity revisited
Article Abstract:
The validity of the limiting similarity principle through numerical simulation of the Lotka-Volterra model is reinvestigated. It is concluded that, despite the existence of exceptional cases, the classical picture of limiting similarity and niche segregation is a good input for practical purposes.
