Natural minerogenic dust and human health
Article Abstract:
The geological and meteorological study of dust sources, sinks, transport, and geochemistry was conducted to understand the extent and magnitude of the potential impacts of natural minerogenic aerosols on human health. The research reveal that way of life is also an important factor in any assessment of the health impact of respirable mineral dust because it directly affects dust generation, resuspension, and inhalation in many of the world's drylands.

Mortality factors, helminth burden, and contaminant residues in white-tailed sea eagles (Haliaeetus albicilla) from Finland
Article Abstract:
The causes of mortality, parasite burden, and organ residues of ubiquitous environmental contaminants of 11 carcasses of white-tailed sea eagles (WSEs) (Haliaeetus albicilla) found either dead or moribund in Finland were investigated. The objective of the study was to determine natural and unnatural causes of death for the recovering population of WSEs in Finland.

Comparative health impact assessment of local and regional particulate air pollutants in Scandinavia
Article Abstract:
The level of mortality in Sweden due to exposure to particulate matter (PM) is discussed. 3500 premature deaths per year with a life-span reduction ranging up to about 7 months were reported for the Swedish population due to long-range transported anthropogenic particles.
