Predicting the distribution of ground beetle species (Coleoptera, Carabidae) in Britain using land cover variables
Article Abstract:
The relationship between the distribution of 137 British ground beetle species and land cover is investigated using data from 1687 10 km national grid square by a logical regression modeling approach. Significant relationships between ground beetle incidence and land cover are found for all species of beetle investigated.

Space use optimization and sustainability -- environmental comparison of international cases
Article Abstract:
Several projects involving intensive and multiple use of space that were recently completed or were still being developed around railway stations in London, Paris, and Amsterdam are examined in a study. The cases are compared on the basis of spatial, functional, and environmental indicators.
