Quantitative methods for effluent control
Article Abstract:
The Maximum Likelihood Method (MLM) and the Resources Limited Weight Method (RLWM) which is effective in computer simulations are utilized for the quantitative analysis of the effluent concentrations in water. The MLM is based on the maximum likelihood principle and provides a nonlinear mathematical program for the problem. In the second method, a particular amount of enforcement resources are applied for a specific time era.

Roofing as a source of nonpoint water pollution
Article Abstract:
Sixteen wooden structures with two roofs each were installed to study runoff quality for four commonly used roofing materials like wood, shingle, composition shingle, painted aluminum and galvanized iron at Nacogdoches, Texas. This study demonstrated that roofs could be a serious source of nonpoint water pollution.
