Grace Thorpe, the daughter of Jim Thorpe, has been fighting the policy to use reservations for monitored retrievable storage (MRS). As president of the National Environmental Coalition of Native Americans, Thorpe is equally concerned about educating Native Americans about radioactive waste.

Bella Abzug: giving women a voice
Article Abstract:
Abzug is a former member of Congress and serves on many governmental boards such as the Women's Foreign Policy Council. Abzug feels women do have a different point of view on world affairs and are more likely than men to understand the importance of environmental issues.
