The year of the environment?
Article Abstract:
The recession is diverting the attention of policy makers from environmental issues. Laws regarding the protection of public lands and forests, the renewal of the Endangered Species Act's authorization, and amendments to the current solid waste policy are not expected to be passed in 1992. Only the National Energy Strategy bill stands a good chance of being enacted into law.
