Using satellite imagery to locate innovative forest management practices in Nepal
Article Abstract:
An analysis is presented on satellite imagery of Nepal's forests, in which anomalies are studied to identify and evaluate unique forest practices as possible methods for curbing deforestation. Advantages and limitations to this method are discussed.

Quantifying spatial patterns of landscapes
Article Abstract:
Information theoretical landscape indices based on data from digitized maps in grid format is discussed. A measurement is introduced on how much information is contained in a coarse-scale map about a fine-scale map.
