Issues are presented concerning the performance of the top 50 Hispanic American businesses whose export trade was worth $592.11-million in 1999, a drop of 38% on the previous year. The effect of globalization on exports is discussed.

Hispanic-American business exports declined greatly in 1995 from 1994 due to the Mexican peso devaluation crisis. Executives from a group of 50 top Hispanic exporting companies, which mainly export to Mexico, Colombia and Puerto Rico, discuss the impact of this decline.
