Hiking in forgotten land
Article Abstract:
The enormous Copper Canyon is located near Cusarare, Mexico, and can be reached by hiking 16 miles into the canyon. The area houses many Tarahumara Indians, who settled in the area in the 1600s and still follow tribal customs. An elaborate cathedral looming in the rugged Batopilas region is a surprise.

Article Abstract:
An Oct 1991 visit to Israel, along with visits to the Palestinian sections are described. There is an invisible line in Jerusalem that divides east and west and few dare cross from one side to the other. A second round of peace talks is hoped for by all concerned.
