American auctions come of age
Article Abstract:
Issues are presented concerning the growth of the wine auction industry in the US. Over 40 auctions occur annually and in 2000 the industry achieved sales of over $65-million. The history of the wine auction industry is discussed.

Auction markets polarize in aftermath of Sept. 11
Article Abstract:
Issues are presented concerning the effect which the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 have had on the prices paid for wine at auction. The poor prices which have been achieved by recent releases of wine are discussed.

Demand for mature wines remains strong
Article Abstract:
A short period between May and June 2001 saw eight major wine sales and gave an indication of the market for fine wine. Mature wine and rarer wine saw high demand, but younger vintages were lacking in buyers.
