France's broken winemaking families
Article Abstract:
The French system of taxation severely imperils its wine industry. Wealth and inheritance taxes cause divisions within wine making families and cause vintners who are passionate about wine to sell out to big corporations. Others, like Bruno Prats, have emigrated from the country. France should take a lesson from the American system of taxation.
