Issues concerning the wine produced in the Coteaux du Languedoc region of France are presented. The achievements of wine producers Michel Laroche, Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Robert Mondavi and the Australian company BRL Hardy, are discussed.

The Chateau de la Negly is a vineyard in the Languedoc area of France which grows the Carignane grape. The vineyard was taken over by Jean Paux-Rosset in 1992. His wine production, management and expansion plans are discussed.
