Francois Pinault bought half of the French winery Chateau Ausone from Helyette Dubois-Challon for $10.3 million and offered to pay the same amount to co-owners Alain and Catherine Vauthier for full ownership. However, the Vauthiers matched the offer and took full control of the winery.

Burgundy's Louis Latour celebrates 200 years as a family-run winery

Latour wines have been respected for two centuries, and the negociant had a recent celebration to mark the anniversary. Latour has over 55 acres of grand cru vineyards in Burgundy in 1997. Its history and wines are discussed.
