Stagecoach Vineyards in the hills of the Napa Valley, CA, is discussed with emphasis on the quality of its grapes. Jan Krupp saw the potential in this area of land and has developed a 500 acre vineyard which produces much sought after grapes.

Advantage Sonoma

The Californian wine growing region of Sonoma is often compared to the Napa region. Napa is famed for its Cabernets but Sonoma produces excellent ones and they offer more value for money than the Napa ones.

The Cabernet Sauvignons produced by the Barrett family at their Chateau Montelena vineyard in Napa Valley, CA, are described. A 20-year vertical tasting held at the vineyard in 1999 is described.
