Article Abstract:
The 2004 vintage of California Pinot Noir yielded a wealth of phenomenal wines, producing eleven wines that rated 95 points or higher. The 2004 Pinot is marked by rich, ripe, opulent wines thanks to plenty of sunshine, an even ripening season and a small crop and is ranked on a par with 2002 and 2003, noting differences in individual regions.
