Screaming Eagle sold

Screaming Eagle, a winery in Napa Valley and maker of the famous Cabernet, was sold by its founder Jean Phillips to entrepreneur Stanley Kroenke and money manager Charles Banks. Phillips, who founded the winery in 1992 and immediately made an impact with its Cabernet, sold the 72-acre property for an undisclosed sum.

Two wine empires expand in California

The prestigious, Washington based, Stimson Lane Group have purchased Guenoc winery, vineyards and stock for an alleged 100 million dollars whilst Matanzas Creek wine company has been sold to Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates for an estimated 45 million dollars.
