Canned heat
Article Abstract:
Poppy Cannon is famous as the champion of can-opener cooking whose first job was producing an advertisement copy for the canned, frozen and instant foods and later turned to journalism to write articles for magazines that loved her advertiser-friendly ways in the kitchen. She had a food library of some 600 volumes and despaired of supermarket produce and advised readers to seek out small greengrocers for the best ingredients.
