James Beard's book 'Cook It Outdoors' published in 1941 made barbecue a popular subject for cookbooks. This change has caused the emergence of a number of cookbooks focusing on barbecue. Couple Bill and Cheryl Jamison were among those who wrote barbecue cookbooks.
