Underreporting of energy intake, socioeconomic status, and expression of nutrient intake
Article Abstract:
Socioeconomic status and its relationship with nutrient intake was examined. Investigators used three different means to assess nutrient intake given the pervasiveness of underreporting. The participants assessed nutrient intake by absolute nutrient intake, adjustment of absolute nutrient intake by excluding data from law-energy reports, and energy adjusted nutrient intake using the residual method. The method yielding the most accurate results was inclusive.

Assessing the changing diet of indigenous peoples
Article Abstract:
The dietary changes affecting indigenous populations are increasing the risk of diet-related disease. As native peoples shift from culturally traditional foods to market- or store-bought food, a rise in health problems such as diabetes mellitus and heart disease has been noted. Traditional diets, however, may also pose health threats due to growing levels of contamination from pollutants.
