Traditional party dips are usually high in fat and calories. Recipes for some low-fat dips are included. The dips featured are Romesco-style roasted pepper, herbed white-bean, mushroom spread with lemon and thyme, papaya and vegetable salsa and ricotta dip for summer fruits.

Moosewood Collective in Ithaca, NY, has been specializing in vegetarian cooking since 1973. This selection of low-fat, low-cholesterol recipes for main courses was developed by the members of the Moosewood group.
