The benefits of adequate iodine intake
Article Abstract:
People who are deficient in iodine, an essential nutrient, may score lower on a variety of motor ability and intelligence tests than those without iodine deficiency according to an analysis of several studies conducted in over ten countries. Skill tests included balancing, throwing balls, reaction time, manual dexterity, and handgrip. Cognitive testing focused on fluency, memory, and meaning. The skills of iodine-deficient Malawi children did not improve 10 months after iodine supplementation, except for muscle strength. It seems the majority of disabilities due to iodine deficiency apparently are not quickly reversible.

Vitamin A and measles
Article Abstract:
Research presented concerns the impact of vitamin A intake on morbidity from measles and the efficacy of the measles vaccine.
