The home-invasion murder of Cumberland KY, prosecutor Fred Capps, by social outcast Eddie Vaughan, on Sunday morning June 5, 1999, is analyzed. Vaughan was scheduled to be tried for child molestation by Capps the next day; the rampage left both men dead of gunshot wounds.
