A miracle of mermaids

Desiree Gill learned to accept the death of her father when she received a response for the letter that she attached to a balloon on her father's 29th birthday. The balloon landed on Mermaid, Prince Edward Island in Canada and was found by Wade MacKinnon. The MacKinnons sent a letter and gift to the Gill family and eventually established a close relationship with them.

Chile's fog farmers
Article Abstract:
Chilean and Canadian scientists harvest water from clouds by collecting fog at the El Tofo Mountain, south of the Aracama Desert in Chile. The water drawn from coastal fogs, at a daily average of 7,000 liters, is used to supply drinking water to Chungungo, a village lying at the foot of the mountain.
