The social cost of single parenthood
Article Abstract:
The 1994 summer issue of the American Prospect contained a report on children of single mothers. The article indicates that children of one-parent families are more likely to have social and educational difficulties than children who grow up with both parents. These results undermine the positive notions on nontraditional family.
