Islamic extremism threatens to bring down the Saudi Arabian government, which is increasingly coming under criticism for the corruption and opulent lifestyle of the ruling family. As a major oil supplier, a takeover by Islamic extremists would affect the rest of the world, primarily the US.

Iraqi Kurds continue to suffer the cruelty of Saddam Hussein's oppressive regime, which has vowed to eliminate their race. Unless Allied forces continue providing Kurds with protection and humanitarian assistance, all hope for their survival will be lost.
